Dorothy's Snowman 4-Square on Point in Red and Green

Quilt top (and scrappy back) made by Dorothy.

I quilted it with Valentine Glide thread on the top and Candy Apple Red Glide 60 on the back.

The pantograph is another one of my own originals named Baroque Filigree. Scrappy back shown above and front shown below.

Dorothy's Pastel 4-Square with Sashing

This beautiful quilt top and back was made by Dorothy for one of her many niblings (nieces and nephews). She told me her goal is to make a quilt for each of her family members before she dies. She's been working hard on the goal.

I quilted this with military gold Glide (and Glide 60 on the back) thread using the Bourbon Street Baby pantograph from Urban Elementz.

I quilted it with my Forever Filigree pantograph with Irish Spring green Glide/Glide 60 threads on the front and back.

Thimble and Thread Wonky Log Cabin Charity Quilt in Blue

Another quilt I quilted for my quilt guild. The Wonky Log Cabin top was FPP (foundation paper pieced) by another guild member, though they left all the paper on for me to take out.

I quilted it with Glide's invisible thread, Essence, on the front and white Glide 60 thread on the back using a new pantograph I designed that I am currently calling "A Side of Clamshells" though I may modify that name if I think of something better.

I have found that any time I take a picture of white fabric when it's in shadow, it always ends up looking blue, but as you can see below, the back is white.

And here's the front.

Thimble and Thread Charity Quilt in Yellow, Green and Tan

Charity quilt I quilted for my Quilt Guild. (Think I used the word "quilt" enough times in that sentence?)  The top was made by another member.

I quilted it with khaki Glide thread on the top and cream Glide 60 on the back using the Argyle pantograph from Urban Elementz. I like how the pantograph went with the honey bee theme.

Emerald's Scrappy Pinwheel Blocks Twin Quilt

This quilt top and back was made by my sister, Emerald for me to quilt and donate to the refugees.  I decided to do custom quilting on this. There are 20 different patter combos repeated throughout.

Ideas were taken from several different books and YouTube videos (Thank you Angela Walters and Natalia Bonner for most of them.

The thread is white Glide (and Glide 60 for the back) and I used a variety of rulers and marking tools.

The border with narrow ribbon candy, swirls and circles.

Pieced back above, front below.

Family Name Wall Hanging Quilt - Christmas Present

This is the second half of my Christmas present for my brother and sister-in-law. This is a quilted family name wall hanging.  I looked for ideas on other family name wall hangings, but all the ones I liked used different media, often wood, so I had to make it up.

This is appliquéd; the big G has the raw edge turned under, whereas the green is all raw edged appliqué and then stitched around with cotton thread to match.  For quilting, I used Essence invisible thread to stitch in the ditch around everything. Then I did a small fill on the entire background to let the letters pop.  There is a hanging sleeve on the back.

Falling Flowers Charity Quilt

This charity quilt I made with coordinating Michael Miller fabrics I had cut into 5" squares back when I taught after school enrichment sewing classes at my kids' elementary school each spring.

I quilted it with White Glide and Glide 60 threads using the Rebekah's Rose pantograph from Urban Elements.

The back (shown above) and the falling flowers front (shown below), though I guess it's reversible, so the recipient could choose which was which.
