Brenda's Little Boy/Grandson I-Spy Quilt

This fun, almost an I-Spy quilt was made by Brenda for her grandson.

I quilted it in Sterling Glide on the top and Sterling Glide 60 thread on the back, following the Contempo pantograph from Urban Elementz.

Dorothy's Geometric Plaid Quilt

This quilt top was made by Dorothy for a family member who wanted very geometric quilting -- no curves. The contempo pantograph we chose (from Urban Elementz) was perfect for her.

I used Light Tan Glide thread on the top and Mocha Glide 60 on the back which blended really well.

Butterfly/Moth Panel Charity Quilt

Another charity quilt for Home Sweet Home that I quilted for my quilt guild.

Because of the moths or butterflies in the squares on top, I quilted it with one of the pantographs I designed called "Beautiful Butterflies."

Though I like this pantograph, I think there are still some changes I want to make on it before it's "perfect." One of the nice things about charity quilts is it gives me a chance to evaluate where changes need to be made.

I quilted it with Cleopatra Glide thread on top and Chocolate Glide 60 on the back.

Charity Quilt for Thimble and Thread Guild

This charity quilt will go to Home Sweet Home from my quilt guild.

The fabrics have African style prints and it's very busy, so I opted for more simple, less noticeable quilting.

I chose to quilt it with the Cardamom pantograph from Urban Elementz in a light Tan Glide thread on front and Mocha Glide 60 on the back.

Dorothy's Halloween Pinwheel Quilt

This Halloween quilt was made by Dorothy. She requested "fall" quilting and I found this fun pantograph by Urban Elementz called "Pumpkin Fest" that fit.

Then, what better color thread than Pumpkin Glide on the top (and Military Gold Glide 60) on the back.

As always, she made a fun scrappy back.

This last photo shows what happened when I played chicken with the top thread. I ran out just before the end and had to order more before I could finish.

Phyllis' Cathedral Window Quilt

Phyllis made this beautiful Cathedral Window quilt.

Front and back.

The quilting is all freehand (no rulers) which added a bit of whimsy as well as saved on the quilting cost.

Quilted with white Glide thread on the front and white Glide 60 on the back.

Another Kaleidoscope Star by Carol

Another Kaleidoscope star quilt made by Carol. She obviously liked the pattern and made enough stars for 2 quilts. This is the smaller of the two.

I quilted with navy Glide thread on top and Navy Glide 60 on the back. This is custom quilted. The binding is machine sewn to the front and Carol will hand stitch it to the back.

Carol's Charity Square Blocks Quilt

This quilt was made by Carol to donate to charity. She didn’t have a preference on quilt pattern, so I chose a large freehand design that would cost less for her and be dressier than a large meander or loops.

I quilted with Lilac Glide thread on top and Pacific Glide 60 on the back.

I sewed the binding to the front for her to hand-stitch to the back.

Carol's Kaleidoscope Star Quilt in Blues and Purples

This Kaleidoscope star quilt was made by Carol. She had a specific way she wanted the stars quilted.

The border I chose to go with it, knowing she didn’t want any feathers. I like how it turned out.

I quilted with Lilac Glide thread on top and Pacific Glide 60 on the back. Love my 4n1 (and mini) rulers from Piece N Quilt for my ruler work.
