Cathy's Dizzy Daisy Quilt

A Dizzy Daisy quilt (pattern from MSQC) was made by Cathy. Gorgeous colors on the soft white background.

Cream Glide and Glide 60 blended nicely and the Windy Wonderful Weather pantograph from Urban Elementz add some lovely movement.

Karina's Mission Christmas Decoration Gifts

For my daughter on a mission, as part of her Christmas care package/present, I sent her things to decorate her apartment and let her know we were thinking about her.
One was a nesting dolls nativity. I looked online for one I liked, couldn’t find one, bought a blank one to paint myself, kept looking for ideas on how to paint it, found a set online and copied it, changing parts to fit my pieces (took out the manger with Mary and Joseph and did the baby separately, removed the halos, only did one wiseman). Part way through I realized that it would have been much faster and easier to just buy that set which was only about $5 more than buying the blank nesting dolls, but I was committed and I guess I can say I did it myself.

Another thing we did was a 12 day of Christmas Christmas tree, where each of the twelve days before Christmas one opens a present under the tree to decorate it. Day one was a tree skirt with handprints like ours at home. Other items were garland, stars (one of which fit the top like a hat), ball ornaments, mini missionary tags, super mini Spanish Book of Mormon replicas, snowflakes, tiny hand dipped candles, etc.

Ruth's Embroidery Sampler Quilt made by Adele

This quilt top was made by Adele for her sister-in-law Ruth, with embroidery samples originally made by Ruth's late sister.

I quilted it with invisible thread around each embroidered picture, stitched in the ditch around each rectangle, did a leaf fill in the white, and put swirls in the patterned borders. All freehand or rulers quilting.
