Brenda has competed in races for about 40 years. Her husband ask me to make a special reversible T-shirt quilt with these shirts from her races. The quilt is about 116" x 120."
It is quilted with an all-over large meander with MonoPoly thread.
This center shirt is from the race where she ran past him, caught, not only his eye, but his heart as well.
One side of the quilt has 40 years of racing shirts, the other has a wedding ring printed panel fabric, with multiple coordinating colors for borders.
Just a note: With longarm quilting, it is next to impossible to center a design on both the front and back. Side to side, yes, but top to bottom, no. This looks pretty good from far away, but it's not perfect. I marked matching points all along the sides of front and back to try to make them line up. But in the end, it was about an inch off (which is pretty good, considering).
