Cathy's Sampler Scrappy Star Quilt

My dear friend, Cathy, makes many quilts to give away, but this sampler quilt, she loves so much she’s keeping for herself.

I quilted it with cream Glide and Glide 60 thread using the pantograph “Windy Wonderful Weather” from Urban Elementz.

I love how the quilting mimics the pieced stars but with a twist. Love how it turned out!

Cathy's Indian Motorcycle Quilt

I know I’m no motorcycle expert, but I’d never heard of an Indian motorcycle until after quilting this quilt.

Cathy found a panel and made it into the perfect quilt for her Indian motorcycle fan.

I enlarged the Kindling pantograph from Urban Elementz and used dark gray So Fine and dark gray Bottom Line threads.

Ukrainian Refugee Rainbow Chevron Quilt

Another quilt I quilted for my Guild to donate to Ukrainian refugees.

I used the pantograph “Double Bubble #2” from Urban Elementz and used white Glide (on top) and white Glide 60 threads (on back).

Jean found an awesome fabric for the binding. LOVE it!

Cathy's Appliquéd Scrappy Pine Forest Baby Quilt

Can I just say that I love this quilt Cathy made? So simple and elegant. She took left over squares, sewed them together, then appliquéd evergreen trees on them.

To quilt it, I freehanded an all-over C-curl design in the background and tacked down the edges of the trees with a freehand zigzagged-y edging all in Glide Cleopatra thread on the top and Glide 60 Cool Gray 3 on the back. The top thread looks like metallic gold and the back thread looks like silver.

Dorothy's Soccer Quilt

Another quilt by Dorothy, this one soccer themed.

With all those soccer balls, the circle quilting in the Double Bubble #2 pantograph from Urban Elementz seemed a perfect combination.

The Glide/Glide 60 military gold thread worked beautifully with both the front and back.

Dorothy's Space Quilt #3

I think this is the 3rd space quilt with scrappy back that Dorothy has made for different individuals in her family.

She loves the Stellar pantograph (Urban Elementz) on them which I quilt in Glide/Glide 60 Military Gold thread.

She also had me bind it - save her some time. As always, she made a scrappy back with the leftover fabric.
